12-14-14 The Servant

jaytharding's avatarBack of the Choir

servant

The Lord of Lords, God’s only Son came here,

Deserving all our pomp and circumstance,

But took upon Himself the life austere,

To give His all so we have half a chance.

This lowly man the heavens did create,

Deserving of a throne right next to God

And worship from us all both small and great,

Took on the servant’s role with no facade.

And Jesus made His life a sacrifice,

A meek and perfect Lamb, obedient.

The debt for all our sins He paid the price

With His own humble blood and His consent.

If we are here to serve our Lord and King,

We must be servant to just everything.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto,
but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Matthew 20:28 KJV
12-13-14 Seek
jaytharding's avatarBack of the Choir
Long-road-ahead-672
Whenever someone tells you there’s no God,
Reply that they’ve not tried to seek Him out.
To find a hidden thing you have to prod,
But you won’t look if you are filled with doubt.
Crack open like an egg your hardened heart;
Let loose the golden falcon of your soul.
A thousand mile journey needs a start;
A shovelful of dirt begins a hole.
How can you not believe who’ve never tried?
He answers all who call, this much is true,
For those who call His name won’t be denied;
The proof you need is right in front of you.
Use all your heart and soul to seek the Lord,
And He’ll reveal Himself with one accord.
~~~~~~~~~~~

But if from thence

thou shalt seek the LORD thy God,

thou shalt find him,

if thou seek him with all thy heart

and with all thy soul.

12-12-14 My Redeemer Lives!

jaytharding's avatarBack of the Choir

He Lives

I know indeed that my Redeemer lives!

He lives in me, and He can live in you!

The proof is in the love He always gives,

And you can feel His love move through you, too!

The things that fill this earth will pass away,

And all of your possessions turn to dust,

But He will stand here at the latter day,

And you will too if you give Him your trust.

He calls out to your spirit, heart and soul!

He died for all your sins then rose again!

If you answer His call He’ll make you whole,

And then you’ll feel Him live in you, amen!

I know that Jesus lives forever more;

Just take His outstretched hand, this I implore!

~~~~~~~~~~~
For I know that my redeemer liveth,
and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth
12-11-14 On Drama
jaytharding's avatarBack of the Choir
Businessmen fighting
No matter where you go there’s some dispute.
When everybody’s right the rest are wrong.
And some will stir the water to pollute,
Or stick their noses where they don’t belong.
You need not go too far, the drama’s near;
It’s probably within your very home,
But you don’t have to fight, no need to jeer;
You don’t have to get mad, no need to foam.
Just lean upon the Lord in silent prayer,
And be compassionate to all you meet.
No need to pry when it’s not your affair,
And if it is be humble and discreet.
A wiser man grows wiser without strife.
Find comfort in the Lord; increase your life.
~~~~~~~~~~~

It is an honour for a man to cease from strife:

but every fool will be meddling.

121014 Come Quickly!

jaytharding's avatarBack of the Choir

bride-looking

Beloved, I’m prepared for Your return!

It’s time to trim the wicks; I have the oil.

You’ll be here any second; how I yearn!

The guests have all arrived, the low and royal

My Lord, the feast is set, the band is tuned!

The signs are showing that the time is near.

You’ll see that even nature’s so festooned!

Anticipation’s great, though not in fear.

I look upon the clouds where You will come!

Is this my feet arising from the ground?

I see Your light approach; the angels thrum!

Behold! I hear a distant trumpet sound!

Lord Jesus, in Your glory You arrive!

The wedding day is here! We are alive!

~~~~~~~~~~~
He which testifieth these things saith,
Surely I come quickly. Amen.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Part Two: Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13
Critique of Matthew Vine’s video “God and the Gay Christian: The Biblical Case in Support of Same-Sex Relationships”
Part Two: Leviticus 18:22
and Leviticus 20:13
Again, it is crucial to repeat that this critique is primarily aimed at Matthew Vine’s video “God and the Gay Christian: The Biblical Case in Support of Same-Sex Relationships” and is meant to not only refute his misleading claims but to perhaps keep someone else from being mislead. Listen to what is being said in the video, take notes, and then read these discourses so that you can see easily that Matthew Vine is attempting to twist the scriptures to justify a continuation of sin while wearing the outer coverings of Christianity.  There is no substitute for salvation through Christ.
12-9-14 Wait on the Lord
jaytharding's avatarBack of the Choir
wait on the lord
If someone strikes you, turn the other cheek,
And if they strike again, then bare your head,
Then wait upon the Lord while you stand meek,
For He’s the final judge for what’s ahead.
Resist temptation’s lure to seek revenge;
Reprisal’s not a stone you need to throw.
Let God alone your injuries avenge,
For vengeance is the Lord’s, you ought to know.
You want the Lord to save you from all wrong,
And in the end He will, this much is true.
The time for judgment’s soon, it won’t be long;
It is the fire that we will all pass through.
Repent for all the sins that you have done
And beg the Lord’s forgiveness through His Son.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Say not thou, I will recompense evil;

but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.

12-8-14 A Strong Hold

jaytharding's avatarBack of the Choir

christ-refuge-lighthouse

The Lord is good to us despite our ways,

And when we need Him he is always here,

Especially amid these troubled days,

When Satan runs amok and people cheer.

Place all your trust in God to see you through;

He loves you as a Father loves His child.

He is a safe refuge you can run to

When evil rules the Earth and you’re reviled.

So when temptation’s knocking at your door

To join the crowd or face the Hounds of Hell,

God will protect you from the frantic roar;

His good and faithful hold will guard you well.

The Lord knows where you are, just call His name;

He’s just a prayer away, a constant flame.

~~~~~~~~~~~
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him.
12-7-14 Nowhere
jaytharding's avatarBack of the Choir
foggy landscape
Your spirit dwells within my blood and breath,
And binds the fabric of the universe.
You guide my birth and hold my hand in death,
And every moment in between traverse.
Your omnipresence guides the wind of change;
You mark the path of elephant and ant.
You move the atom, set the mountain range,
You make the tree frog peep, the monk to chant.
Where could I go to get away from You?
You’re even in my very soul and mind.
No matter where I run You are there, too.
There is no place to go that you can’t find.
Why would I ever want to run at all?
My God, forever more You are my all!
~~~~~~~~~~~

Whither shall I go from thy spirit?

or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

Psalm 139:7 KJV
